CANCELLATION POLICY

This Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations work for clients and providers on Gig4Me.

1. Client-Initiated Cancellations

 Clients may cancel a Gig before the provider accepts or before work begins.

Once a provider has accepted a Gig or scheduled a time:

  • Cancellation may require provider approval
  • Providers may charge a cancellation fee at their discretion
  • Gig4Me does not set cancellation fees

 Clients should communicate directly with the provider to agree on next steps.

2. Provider-Initiated Cancellations

 Providers may cancel before beginning the service if:

  • They are unavailable
  • The Gig cannot be completed as described
  • There are safety or feasibility concerns

 Providers should inform clients promptly to avoid negative ratings.

3. Missed Appointments or No-Shows

 If a provider fails to show up for a confirmed Gig, clients may request a refund directly from the provider.

 If a client is unavailable at the agreed time, the provider may charge a no-show fee.

 Gig4Me does not determine these charges. They are set individually by providers.

4. Platform-Initiated Cancellations

 Gig4Me may cancel a booking if:

  • Fraudulent activity is detected
  • There is a violation of Terms and Conditions
  • Safety concerns arise
  • Users refuse to comply with verification requirements

 Users may be suspended or removed depending on the severity of the case.

5. Gig4Me’s Role

Gig4Me does not:

  • Decide cancellation fees
  • Enforce penalties
  • Intervene in personal agreements
  • Provide refunds for cancelled bookings

 All outcomes depend on the agreement between clients and providers.





REFUND POLICY

Gig4Me is a marketplace that connects clients with independent service providers.

Gig4Me does not offer escrow, does not hold funds, and does not issue refunds.

All refunds must be handled directly by the provider.

1. Who Issues Refunds

Refunds are issued by:

  • The service provider who received the payment
  • The third-party payment processor, where applicable

 Gig4Me cannot reverse, refund, or dispute payments on behalf of users.

2. Conditions for Refunds

Clients may request a refund directly from providers when:

  • A service was not completed
  • Work quality was significantly below expectation
  • A provider failed to show up
  • Both parties mutually agree to cancel

Refund approval is entirely up to the provider.

3. Gig4Me’s Responsibilities

Gig4Me:

  • Does not guarantee refunds
  • Does not mediate refund amounts
  • Does not enforce refund decisions
  • Does not handle disputes involving payment
  • Only provides a communication channel

If a provider refuses a refund, Gig4Me cannot override the decision.

4. Documentation

Clients are encouraged to keep:

  • Chat records
  • Job details
  • Photos or proof of incomplete work

This documentation helps providers make informed refund decisions.

5. Disputes and Reports

Users may flag suspicious behavior.

Gig4Me may review the report and take platform-related actions such as:

  • Warning the user
  • Suspending or removing accounts
  • Preventing future misuse

However, these actions do not guarantee a refund.

6. Payment Processor Policies

Refund timelines and methods depend on the third-party payment provider.

Gig4Me is not responsible for delays, reversals, or rejected refund requests.

7. No Guarantee

By using Gig4Me, you acknowledge that:

  • Providers are independent
  • Refunds are not mandatory
